#EarthDay2020 is being marked by two crises
One is the #COVID-19 pandemic. The other is a slowly building disaster for our #climate.
We can, will and must solve both challenges. The world was not prepared for the novel #coronavirus. But we still have time to prepare — in every part of the world — for the #climatecrisis.
This pandemic will not silence our voices. Instead, it reminds us of what’s at stake for the #planet. And although it is keeping us apart, it is also bringing us together to take on the fight for our common home.

50 years ago, a group of environmental organizers was one week out, just like us, and they had no idea whether Earth Day 1970 was going to make a difference. We're all here because it did. Earth Day proved that huge improvements are possible when we come together to say that everyone deserves a better planet.
We'll be separated on the 22nd, but we can come together on earthday.org. The site will have twenty-four hours of speakers, activities, and actions. It's for everyone, of any age, in any part of the world with an internet connection.
