It has been a tough year for all of us. We still can find things to be to be thankful for. Though, there are many who are having trouble putting food on the table. Let's give them something to be thankful for.

December Programs will be announced soon. We are working on our 2021 Calendar. Expect a big, live event in February! Our newsletters and updates will be published on our website.  

Peconic Pathfinders was founded to find, build and maintain trails for hiking and running. Based in Calverton and Manorville, we organize runs and hikes and events on Long Island. Founded in 2020, we have been limited as to what we can do. Join us on our virtual events, group runs and walk run programs on the Calverton Pedestrian Path at 8:30am on Sundays and our Sunday Hikes at noon in Manorville at the Pine Barrens Trail Center. Stay active but be safe and stay healthy. Wear masks when you can't be 6 ft apart. Never run or hike alone.

The 2,200-acre park was originally named the Peconic River County Park and renamed on what would have been his 100th birthday.   There are many paths, ponds and a river. The only marked trail today is the Pine Barrens Trail, AKA the Paumanok Path. Peconic Pathfinders has found the paths, cleaned them up and maintain them. We hope to be able to mark them soon. Depending on your status, now is the time to get back in shape or to get in better shape. There's not a lot of events going on in the winter. It's too wet and cold. Many of you travel to warmer climates in February. We now have many friends who live or travel to other parts of the country or other countries. We invite you to share with us on any of our Facebook groups. Tell your story and send photo's. Group photos are always fun.
