Thank you all for your interest and thank you to those who attended our organizational meeting. Special thanks to all that agreed to serve on our board.
Every spare minute this week I will be preparing the paperwork to join the Road Runners Club as a Trail Running and Hiking Club. With the Road Runners Membership we will be issued insurance for our meetings, hikes, runs, programs and events. Expenses will be paid by LIRunning Inc.
Thank you for your support and confidence. I shared with you our goals and look forward to work with you all in achieving them.
Tomorrow I'll be meeting with the town recreation dept. to discuss how we can work with them on our projects. This weekend I will be working with Ken on trail maps to submit to the State and County Parks.
Wednesday hikes look like they will be a washout, but I'll be around. Look for me at the Calverton Path "Start Here" at 11 am. or 12 am. I'll have to cut out early for an appointment at 1:00.
If it's not to bad, I'll be mowing at 9:00. If I can I'll stop by the MHS.
Sunday is looking good. Group Run at 8:30 with RRAC, Short hike at 11:00 and long hike at 1pm. All meet at the "Start Here" sign at Veterans Memorial Park, Calverton.
