Spring is here and so are the races! LIRunning Newsletter 3/17/2015

Spring is Here and so are the Races!
I am excited that we kick off the spring 2015 season this weekend with three races that express our history so well. 21 years ago I founded the East End Road and Trail Runners Club and started the journey. This year we kick off Island Running JOIN NOW! to take it's place as we run all over Long Island and Island-Timing becomes ResultsTiming as we are no longer limited to Long Island. Not that Long Island is limited with over 300 races on the LIRunning calendar.
Why is this weekend so special? Spring is new life! We kick off  this spring with three races. A new race for Nassau on Saturday in Bellmore, A new race for the East End in Westhampton on Sunday and a great St Pat's traditional race in central Suffolk's Patchogue.
Top that off with the great Paumanok 70K the next week starting at Rocky Point and finishing in Hampton Bays. If you didn't know, Paumanok is the native name for Long Island.
That said, there are important updates on these races and more below!
Thank you for being part of the Long Island Running Network
