Start Here! Is more than the location of where to start your run, walk or bike. To me, it represents that there is more to be done in creating more paths and trails and parks for safe, off road public use for transportation, health and fitness and access to our public lands. I look now, towards building more paths, paved and unpaved and better access to our vast public lands in and around Calverton and Riverhead.
Start Here! And lets continue to move forward.

Since 1994, LIRunning has been serving Long Island Runners by bringing you races, events and programs. We started as the East End Road and Trail Runners Club and we have morphed to working with events and clubs all over Long Island, NYC, Lower New York State and TriState NJ, NY and CT. Your results are published live as our events are going on. Photos are added as the race unfolds. Updates are announced on Facebook and by email. Photos are free to share with your friends. You can print out your personalized results certificate.

Depending on your status, now is the time to get back in shape or to get in better shape. There's not a lot of events going on in the winter. It's too wet and cold. Many of you travel to warmer climates in February. We now have many friends who live or travel to other parts of the country or other countries. We invite you to share with us on any of our Facebook groups. Tell your story and send photo's. Group photos are always fun.
